Multinational Battle
The Multinational Battle is a finance & controlling event of three days in which students will work on cases and get in contact with interesting companies. The first round will take place on 17 February 2011 and the four best students will represent Tilburg University during the finals on 9, 10, and 11 March. Accountantsday
Participating in the Accountantday will give you the opportunity to get a better idea about the differences between a Big Four firm and a middle-sized accountancy firm. During this Dutch Event you can meet different firms in both a formal and informal way. Participating companies in 2010 were Berk, BDO, Koenen en Co, Govers, and Mazars.

Traders Trophy
The Traders Trophy is a competition between students from different universities in trading. Students get the opportunity to take part in the financial markets and compete with other students from all over the Netherlands. The first round consists of an exciting one and a half houres in which you act like a real trader. This event is open for students from all disciplines. The finals will be held at NYSE Euronext at Beursplein 5 in Amsterdam. This is your chance to become the best student trader and win amazing prices like a trip, internships or cash.

Asset Inhouse Days
Are you curious about a company? Looking for an opportunity to get to know them? Then the Asset In-house Days are just what you are looking for. During the Asset In-house Days various companies open their doors to give you an insight in their daily business. The days consist of company presentations, cases, workshops, a lunch and often a drink afterwards. You get the opportunity to get an insight in the company, its culture and its business.
The Asset In-house Days are organised by all the economic study associations, organised in Faculty Association Asset at Tilburg University.

Every year we organise the Financial Business Diner. During this activity, you get the opportunity to get in contact in an informal way with companies of your interest and to talk about different career opportunities. During a three course dinner you will sit at the table with companies of your choice.

Every year, Asset | Accounting & Finance organises a Studytour. This year a group of students visited Beijing and Shanghai and participated in several company visits and cultural activities during two weeks in October.
This year, a group of students will travel to Cape Town to discover their wild side!

The yearly Symposium Accountancy offers a link between theory and practice. Several interesting speakers will discuss a relevant topic to provide students with more insights.

Finance Expedition
By visiting five renowned at their offices and by participating in different cases you will get an insight in what the daily activities of different financial institutions are. We give you the opportunity to visit five companies that are active in different fields of the financial sector. This will give you a good view of all the opportunities and possibilities the financial world has to offer you in your future career.
The 2010 edition of the Finance Expedition will take place on 17, 18, and 19 November.

National Investment Competition
Do you have the skills to become the best investor by making the highest returns? Trade with a fictive amount of 100.000 euros in the National Investment Competition (NIC) to become the best student investor in the Netherlands! The NIC consists of two rounds of six weeks. In the first round you are competing against other students from Tilburg University and after this round the top investors are competing in the second round nationwide. Benefit Event Students Tilburg is an evening organised for a charity by T.F.V. "De Smeetskring", Magister JFT, and Asset | Accounting & Finance. With this event, studyassociations show their social involvement by organising an auction and a show with various artists. B.E.S.T. 2011 will take place on 24 February in Popcentre 013.

A&F Investments
Together with this team, you will invest in real stock exchanges. By doing so, you will get experience in investing and you are challenged to think about corporate values. To become a member of the investment team, an investment in the fund of minimum 50 Euros and maximum 500 Euros is required.
The process of making choices will be as follows: the participants propose investment ideas individually or in groups during a meeting, including the financing method, by means of a ‘pitch’. After this, an open and central discussion will take place about the different proposals and the effect of these ideas on the portfolio. In the end the investment team will vote for an investment proposal to determine which transactions will be executed the next day.
